August Fishing Report

Since coming back to Naples I have had a few charters. The fishing is good if you go early or late, the fish shut off in the heat. Bait is on the small side, but there is plenty of it on the beaches. The snook, tarpon and snapper are all feeding pretty good at the moment. Tarpon are on the beaches early and late in the bait schools. Live threads and DOA baitbusters are the way to go for them. Snook are on the beaches and in the passes, but are feeding best early. Snapper are everywhere and are keeping the action going when it gets hot. Night fishing is excellent right now for snook, artificials and flys are the way to go. The Naples mullet run will startup in late Septe
ber and the tarpon will go insane before making there ways south for Winter. September and October are excellent, so if you missed the Spring/Summer tarpon fishing that is the time to make up for it. Give me a call to reserve your spot 239 404 6255
