Snook Fishing Report 4/1/10
It sure does feel good to be catching pilchards and fishing for snook again. The bait has been a bit tricky with them being very tide dependent, clean water is a must. Snook fishing has been the way to go the last two weeks, during the day and night. I have been focusing on docks with 4-10ft of water with good moving water. The snook are very healthy with most fish in the 25-32in range. Last night my client Chris got a nice 33" inch snook on a gummy fly under the dock lights. Water temps are hovering between 68-73, but will now be on the increase with weather forecast to be close to 85 for the next two weeks. Tarpon should be showing up in the next few weeks.
