Naples Fishing Report

Since my last report a lot of things have changed. The weather has
been pretty cold this week dropping the water temps to around 60. This
means we will be fishing for redfish, trout, pompano and sheepshead in
the backwaters and gag grouper, snapper, and sheepshead on the shallow
wrecks and rock piles. Lately I have been fishing for redfish in
shallow water with soft plastic shrimp and paddle tails. The fish are
in lest than 2ft of water and a well placed cast gets rewarded with 5
to 9lb redfish. On the deeper points the little reds are very thick,
not uncommon to catch 10-20 reds off one spot. It's a great time of
year to fish if you want to bring some fish home for dinner as these
are all great eating. This cold weather is forecast to be over by
atuesday and we should see water temps climb back into the mid 60's
and start catching some snook. If you are coming down for Christmas or
New Years don't wait to book as things will fill up fast. Call 239 404 6255
