Spring Is Almost Here 3/30/13

After a very warm Winter we started out cold in March. It's been an up and down weather pattern the last few weeks. Things look like they are finally going to heat up as both the air and water temps rise. I've been getting a mixed bag of fish and have had to work hard the last few days to find willing fish. I can say its been quality over quantity. I have been fishing live pilchards even though water temps were on the cooler side. I try to put my anglers on snook, redfish, and trout on a daily basis. These are the fish that southwest Florida is known for. Ive been having success everyday finding these fish. You will not find me sitting in a choppy boat waked channel jigging for ladyfish. This is a picture today of my young angler Lucas with the biggest trout ever caught on my boat. She measured 31" and ate a live pilchard on a shallow mangrove shoreline. His grandpa also caught a beautiful juvenile tarpon later in the trip.

Tarpon season is coming up fast and I have some open dates. Call or email now to reserve your spot for the silver king. Till next time tight lines
