Naples Fishing Report 2/17/14
The last two weeks of fishing has been up and down. Things went crazy when we had a week of hot weather. Snook, redfish, trout, big jacks and even a showing of big tarpon. We were averaging 12-20 snook of all sizes, 2-4 reds in the 24-31in range and jacks on almost every trip. I was still spending a good amount of time prior to my trips getting a ton of live pilchards. They really have been key to finding snook, redfish, trout and jacks.
Then this week we had back to back cold fronts that really kicked up the seas and muddied the waters. Things are looking good as bait as shown back up and we have a great week of warm and tides ahead of us. Things are booking up fast and tarpon season is fast approaching. Till next time tight lines
